2CAudio Aether reverb plugin

I just downloaded the demo and it sounds seriously..... GREAT!

Maybe it's just newpluginitus, but for now, this seems like a real contender
as my goto reverb.


I'm interested in your feedback as I am rarely impressed with new offerings these days :eusa_whistle:

hey rob...i installed the demo yesterday but I didn't get to try it out yet....tomorrow I will - I do really need a good plugin verb...my Lexi 224 is off at the doc's and I am having rich plate withdrawals!!!

Did you try out the new Redline reverb from 112db yet? I cant get the installer to run on my studio machine as it always says the installer is corrupt! But it installs on my laptop fine???

Hi Sam,

yeah I tried the Redline reverb too and it's nice.

But

It's not in the same class as the Aether reverb for me.
Maybe it's the chaotic tails, but it Sounds musical.

It's the first time I've plugged a software verb in and thought

"that just sounds right".

As I said, not sure if I'm just hearing things that aren't really there
but I've used it on a couple of tracks and it's worked magic.

Whether it's authentic reverb or not I don't know
and don't really care.

What they have coded is a plugin that captures
the sounds I love. (I think a little chaos is what's needed in life)

maybe I'll wake up in the morning and wonder what the hell I was thinkng
when I listen again:D

I've tried both and unfortunately didn't like them as much as the powercore stuff. Probably an unfair comparison, regarding the price though.

fair comment. I haven't used the powercore so can't compare.

I'm still liking Aether reverb the next day, so that's a good sign
for me

now, how do I dial in even more chaos?..........

Hey rob...i tried it for a minute last night and liked what I heard....I will have to crank it up properly later - but initially it seems good at being able to give some sparkle and soften the edges of vocal without getting too dense....lots of control - definately worth a closer look!

Where do you sign up for group buy? KVR?

I thought what the hell and bought it....plugin reverb is what I am missing most...and thos huge smooth tails I am sure I could use in post land very well....now I gotta wait for it!
