Hello

I am new here and new to Cubase.

I am writing music for a short video and i'd like to know what samplerate and bit depth settings I should use to avoid post sync problems.

Someone told me that using 48000hZ 16bit is the best option. Is it also valid with Cubase and in all cases?

In Cubase there is a project template for 5.1 soudntracks, but none for simple "stereo" video sountracks. Is there such a template available somewhere?

Thank you

D

It is very rare to use 44.1kHz for video work.

If you work with 48kHz 24 bit all bases are covered if your client wants
16 bit just dither it down no problems, or ask what the client requires, almost all M+E's / existing stereo soundtracks rip off at 48kHz.

No real need for a specific stereo template just build your music as you would
working at 48kHz.

cheers
