O.K, who's that laughing in the back....
Check out the news release Here (http://news.apogeedigital.com/)
First question that came to mind was, what Windows Development ?
Second was, who really cares , its obvious that the guys were in so deep with Snapple that the audio interface units are non events outside of iLogic.
I seriously doubt that they would be a scratch on other hardware on a level playing field in regards to the much touted low latency performance :nono:
Anyhow,
For those holding out for a possible shift in regards to Windows support, you guys now can firmly place a full stop..

The blog I read was so full of rhetoric I couldn't believe it!
Now the people who are rich enough to buy Macs and pretend they're better than PC's will have the most expensive converter options too... :D
I'll stick with a faster/cheaper PC and RME baby!!!!

This was a particular favourite..
Apogee has made this decision in order to focus all research, development, and support resources on the Apple platform with its unparalleled power and stability. Apple offers a wide range of affordable, powerful desktop and laptop solutions ideally suited for music creation and audio production.
Can anyone say iBiatch..
Yeh, wide range of desktops :icon_rolleyes:
An iMac, which is simply a laptop architecture in an enlarged case with a detached keyboard/mouse, about the same price as a Pro built Quad DAW, and a Dual Socket Xeon , which is reasonably well priced as long as you don't try expanding it via the Snapple store , pity OSX scales like a pig across 8 cores in comparison to an equivalent XP/Xeon rig :eusa_whistle:
Claiming they have a wide range hinted that the boys are still under the influence of the RDF , the line about unparalleled power and stability only proved it..

I wonder if they will continue to support the UV22 plugin on the windows platform. Or, is this just a hardware thing.
Besides, I use the AD/DA 16x's on windows with an RME interface. Works fine.
Cheers

Well, the UV22 has been around forever...
The UV22HR shows up as a Steinberg VST3 plugin nowadays, not Apogee, so I don't think we have anything to fear. Even so, the dll will always be around in current versions to drop into your plugin folder if it disappears from any future builds.
Ah...luckily, Mini-Me doesn't need any drivers.
From the moment I heard Frau say I had a clone,
I knew that I'd be safe because I'd never be alone,
An EVIL doctor shouldn't speak aloud about his feelings,
My hurt and my pain don't make me too appealing.
I hoped Scott would look up to me,
Run the business of the family,
Head an EVIL empire,
Just like his dear old dad,
I'd give him the love and the things I never had.
Scott would think I was a cool guy,
Return the love I have and make me want to cry,
Be E.V.I.L.,
but have my feelings too,
Change my life with Oprah and Maya Angelou.
But Scott rejected me,
C'est La Vie!
Life is cruel, treats you unfairly,
Even so a god there must be,
Mini-Me,
You complete me...
