View Full Version : Key Editor bug causing serious errors?
I've long suspected there is a bug in the key editor that can cause serious errors in Nuendo. I've seen it once or twice on my current rig. After loading Nuendo 4.2.2 on my new quad rig that's completely clean except for fresh installs of many sample libraries, I opened up one instance of Omnisphere, selected one instrument, and proceeded to draw a couple of notes in the key editor just to test out the basic installs - while drawing the 4th note during playback - bam, serious error. Brand new system. No old preferences. Completely clean slate.
Anyone else see this happen while editing in the key editor or score editor? It may be tied to also having playback looping at the same time, though I didn't in this case.

I've tried the latest update twice, but rolled back each time, due to crashes when using the Key Editor.

Rolled back from N4.2.2, or from N4 back to N3? I think I actually encountered this in N4.1.0 in the new install before updating to 4.2.2, but I think it's been in 4.x from the start.

I use the key editor the most in Nuendo and have never seen serious errors in conjunction with it.

Actually there is one thing that will give me serious errors. If I have the VST Connections panel open in a big project and I click on the window to close it Nuendo will error. But if I use a key command to close it never crashes. Weird. Seems to happen only on projects that use a lot of memory.

Just back from 2.2 at the moment.
