I have a shortcut assigned to Channel edit if the channel is selected the edit window pops up when I press the key.
What about saving it as a Workspace?

Make a MACRO for the MIXER to open and the other key command I just gave, or use a Workspace. Workspaces are basically screenshots that you can store in Cubase. Set your screen the way you want it to look and store it as a WORKSPACE, you can then recall that workspace anytime you want. They are REAL cool to use IMO.

Key Commands / Edit Channel Settings
Assign a key command and it'll open that edit window for whatever channel/buss is currently selected...
This is basically dmans first answer using different words.
