... and was highly un-impressed with the production as a whole. :icon_rolleyes:

From the camera work to the edits to the speakers themselves, the whole production was Romper Room-like.

The worst part was the C5 segment. :eusa_eh: What was up with that? Describing features but the playback either lagged and was cut off or non-existant.

Bad show, all around.

Well, to be fair, almost all trade show reports no matter what the company or product looks like this kind of mess. The camera guy don't know the program, don't know what's about to be said the following second, all at the same time he's trying to manouver his camera.

The format just doesn't work ... true for this clip as well :icon_eek3:

BTW what does an iPhoneCost? :rotfl:

I disagree about the camera guy. This should have been rehearsed so as to look half professional. NAMM isn't a spur of the moment thing. They knew they were going to use the footage.

I wonder if you need a Dongle plugged into the iPhone to use the remote app..:eusa_think:

yeah, iI know!!! They knew since that in all likelihood they will have to release a program with a number 5 in the name ... but what happens. And as I said, this is NOT ONLY Steinberg. These demo clips are so crappy :icon_eek3:

A company who's main products are recording and post software should have way better quality videos than these.

yes

they relay on boat speed and boat speed alone, not a thought about strategy and tactics. If they did and if they ironed out a few bugs and if they behaved like proud and polite ambassadors of their company they would sweep the floor with the others ...

but they don't ... so they won't :doh-1:

They've posted a sticky to this Video on Cubase.net !
They shouldn't have done that.
I found it yesterday and it made me even more .... :eusa_think:

In the first part, speakers are cut off, stutter and stumble and someone really loves the word 'synergy' !

Then the C.5 presentation :
"... Errr what else do we have ???? ..." came after each feature
AND they completely forgot the new automation !!

Instead we learned, that the best part of C.5 is the LoopMasher !
Wow, I never before heard such 'creative' mess and it gets worse and worse, while Ondo operates the 'Artificial Intelligence' !!

That made me immediately aware of what will come in Nuendo 5.
The Video Masher !
First test run : the first part of this incredible video !
:icon30:

bye, Jan

I wish the video would buffer steady so I could watch it.

From what I have seen thus far the product demo wasn't very exciting. For a press release and product demo, I would have expected a lot more excitement in Rodney in the presentation. Greg is Greg. I've met him in person and he is pretty much Greg :), a software operator.

For the demo itself, the demeanor is on par with most of the demos I attended at AES events. The video is also on par.

Anyway, that's my take.

Nate, what is happeneing to you? You're becoming a vortex of negativity and sarcasm. :freak3:

Yea, that's what I'm doing but is stops at a certain point and will not re-buffer.

Hey Tom, how's things? Yeah, I know. I guess I'm just really disgusted with Stone Mountain lately. The "My way or the highway." attitude really starches my shorts. :icon_mad:

Things have been better. Family things...

Wash those shorts in some ionic water and put them on while they're still wet. That'ell fix ya up!:D
