View Full Version : Tap The PFL Bus?

For those who use VSTi's in Cubendo would it not be useful to tap into the PFL bus to get a raw (post edit) stem to disk or as a new take on the same track?

I hope they add that to the batch export. This is one reason I never bought Phil's tool, it seems to do "mix" stems and I need PFL (pre-everything but edit) stems for VSTi's, like "bounce" does for audio and like "freeze" does for VSTi's. Cubendo's first send bus is after the first 6 insert slots and the EQ which doesn't quite do it in that case unless you do it early on in production before you start adding plugins and tweaking eq's, (or if using batch) faders and pans and master FX.

Am I nuts? Minimally, I'd like a new third PFL send source ... pre/post/input... or have batch export optionally tap directly into that bus for rendering.

And if "import to project / new track" is selected, optionally copy the track settings to the new track and mute/disable the source track. It would put you right back into the mix same state.

A very good idea. Having the possibility to choose pfl/afl when batch exporting would be great.
Not in C5 though.
But, you'll find the batch export a welcome feature.
