I could really use some input/output meters on the External Effects plugins. Right now I have to go into the HDSP Mixer to see this levels. Why not put em right in Nuendo.

Maybe the original PPMulator would work for you...
It's a stereo standalone and/or VST that shows input levels in various meter styles.

Hell... what am I thinking?...
Use the Digicheck 5.0 meters!
Click "Always on Top"...
Use the 2-bar, 4-bar, or 8 channel Multichannel meter.
Go into INPUT DEVICE SETUP where you can select any pair of INS or OUTS of your choice if you want...
Once they are cal'ed there is no reason to see the input.
The output level and effect is what is important.
Use your ears.

yeah thanks Terry. I had thought of using Digicheck too but I have a problem. I have two Multifaces and Digicheck is only seeing one of them so I can't monitor all my i/o. I looked through the "manual" but can't seem to find any reference on how to setup multiple devices. Any ideas?

damn! Thanks Lex. I didn't even think about using my ears! :eusa_think:
Actually, the reason is that I want to make sure I don't clip the converters going in and out but want to maintain maximum level. So having a meter bridge (with peak hold) on the Ext FX gui would be very helpful and fast to get overview of that without having to look somewhere else.

hmm... you should be able to see your devices in Input Device Setup and select the card you want to monitor... I'm on my older computer now, using Digicheck 4.21, and it has this ability... the new one must as well (?).
Have you tried seeing if Digicheck monitors the card selected in Totalmix?
...booting up new box to see...
Nope... it's different in 5.0.... unless I'm not seeing it because I only have one source anyway (?)
Try DigiCheck 4.21

You can't click on either of these and see options for both cards and drivers?

I am still running version 4.5 of Digicheck. My Input Device setup looks totally different. I have a text box at the top that says Card Select which only has one HDSP Multiface in it. Guess I should upgrade to v5.
thanks Terry for you help.
