Hi everyone,
Here's my latest song, with lyrics by Ted Barrett.
The horn section on this song consists of two tenor saxes, one alto sax and a flute (no samples! :icon_cool: )
The drums are DFHS.
The bass is a Squier Jazz Bass.
The piano is a Roland RD-600.
The synth is the Arturia Minimoog V.

Cougar Hunt
Ted Barrett 2009
Go for a run every morning
Tighten up those buns ‘fore you hit the gym
When you’re going cougar hunting
You have to be slim
Find them in the cafes
In the arty part of town
Get a job as a valet
If you want to track them down
Look for a rich one
With a wedding band tan
Who’s looking to get some
To spite her ex-old man
Come on baby and make me
Your beneficiary
Double indemnity
If you please
I want a condo in the city
And a cottage by the sea
Tell her she looks
Younger than you
And you’ll make her passions cook
For a trinket or two
You need a new suit
To look good on her arm
In alligator boots
You can turn on the charm
You’ll make all her friends jealous
And her ex insane
Move into her house
And even take her name
Come on baby and make me
Your beneficiary
Double indemnity
If you please
I want a condo in the city
And a cottage by the sea
Ted's explanation of the title:
'A Cougar is contemporary slang for a successful woman who dates younger men.
The narrator wants to catch one for the money'
Cheers,
Wim
