Only one sample editor window open at a time?

I am working on a project where i am doing vocal pitch correction using variaudio in the sample editor. That works fine with one sample editor window open. But i would like to have two sample editor windows open at the same time, to see what corrections i made on part and then compare it to another part of the song. So instead of going back and forth within the same window, i would like to have two windows open with different parts at the same time.

But i can not do this! Surely that should be possible? Can anybody help me? I am using Cubase 5.5.2.

Two sample editor windows open at once may require a second license... :icon_rolleyes:

I can think of a few reasons why Steinberg wouldn't want users to have the ability to open multiple edit windows every time anyone clicked on a different part without closing anything beforehand.
