In the next few days I will be upgrading vbulletin to the latest version. And I will also be adding Project Tools or Jira so we can get some organized bug tracking going on.

Here's an example of Project Tools in action: http://www.idealwebtech.com/project.php

THis is what Jira looks like: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV

Jira looks more robust but might be trickier to install as Project Tools is more or less native to vbulletin.

New options look cool, but still a bit quirky... I'm getting a floating "login" button that needs two distinct clicks before it will activate.

Floating login?

Floating login?
Yes, when I come straight in to the forum section and enter my name and pass, the login button is floating just below the name/pass windows, partially obscuring them. I need to click it (it moves slightly), then wait a couple seconds, then click it again before it will initiate confirming the login.
Win7 IE8 on my laptop. I'll try my studio box in a few minutes...

Weird. I'd never seen that.

I still need to run some cron maintenance scripts on the forum.

Also our member number went down about 30 members. I don't know if that's the real number and it just purged some deleted users in the upgrade. Need to investigate a lot of things. I do think this new version has a lot of potential for cool stuff.

No issue with logins here on FF.

New front page needs some cleaning up , but I think its going to be great having a news, review area that isn't dictated to by the powers that be.

Also with the official forums about to get hidden behind My Steinberg accounts, which means no public viewing at all, I get the distinct feeling we are about to get a major influx of new blood soon.

Keep it up Mate, its going to be great.

Now if only I could get my host to update the bloody PHP version, I would update my VBulletin to 4 as well at DAWbench .. :-(

Yeah I need to do a lot of configuring/setting up. And also come up with some guidelines for posting articles and bugbasing. Cool thing with the news section is that anybody can post an article, all the mods have to do is "Publish" it.

I plan to blog about all this as I go so stay tuned. Would love to get feedback.

Was probably a browser cache issue. Everybody reset your caches.
