View Full Version : Drumagog - How to ?
I know drum can be used as an insert to replace drums.
Can drumagog be used as a midi trigger to trigger a sampler?
Either to replace the drum or record and replace?
If so, how does that setup work?

It's been a decade since I used it. Their website says it has midi in & out and it can directly trigger bfd. There is a video as well. And a demo version...
SPL drum replacer might be more accurate as a direct audio replacer (my personal impression), I don't know whether it has midi.

Hi Lex,
I haven't used it in a while, but if you could be more specific I'll check it out for ya.
Off the top of my head, yes, you can trigger samples with it. You'll put it as an insert on the track of the drum you want to replace. So let's say you put it on the kick drum track right, you can then set it to play back "included built in" samples, just to get ballpark trigger values, threshold and stuff. Then you simply tell it to output midi. It'll create a "midi bus", and then you select that "bus" as an input on the VSTi you want to use.
I'll try to find time to check it out Lex.....
