.. and Australia isn't regarded as part of the World any more... :icon_eek3:
It may become an Industry Standard , just not the standard they were hoping for...
Nah we are just some shifty little pacific island not to be bothered with...I had to laugh that big K was thinking of not going due to the demo being a 1hr drive away....my wife drives an hour up the freeway to work every day, and it would be a 10hr flight for us to get to a nuendo 5 demo!!! Haha...I guess we think of distance differently out here huh....

For US customers, while Steinberg North America is holding the US Launch event in Los Angeles, I am also planning a 8-12 city "Road Tour." Once I have all the details confirmed, more information will be made available.
If in the Los Angeles area on May 27, 2010 - and would like to attend the US Launch event, please RSVP at www.steinberg.net. I need to plan the catering correctly :)
Hope all have a great day.

For someone "shaking in anticipation" , Yeh I can see how a 1hr drive would be a deal breaker , it would cut into the drinking time too much... LOL
Re them not bothering in Australia, well..., they haven't "bothered" since Nuendo 1.., time to focus our local energies elsewhere I suggest..

Well they don't make movies in Australia so why would they need a post program?

It seems to me you Aussie's have answered your own question.
Lack of qualified interpreters.... same reason there's no convention in Arkansas.

OK ok....a translation
"Nah me mate next door reckons the creek out the back's been runnin since at least the 70's (if you dont get this bit then I cannot help you at all)... n yestadi just down tha frog n toad I met a sparky who reckons he could puddon tha jooce fer me naggin dragon so's we could watch tha box, but 'fore I cud nail the bastard down he done tha harold holt! [did the harold holt = did the bolt = run away - pertains to a former Prime Minister of Australia that vanished mysteriously whilst swimming off a remote beach] I was spittin chips fer shoore, but lucky I got a mate who rigged a jig and had me whole joint purrin like a datto in no time flat. Dunno whatcha been earin bout Stacy, but we got our bikkies in our tin down ere fa dam strayt, troo aye..."
roughly all means....
"yesterday, just down the road I chanced upon an electrician who assured me he could connect the electricity for my wife, so it were possible for us to watch television but before I could confirm a date for him to attend our residence and complete the work he unexpectedly was uncontactable and seemed to have disappeared without any trace. Yes, of course, I was upset, but luckily I had a friend who had knowledge in the discipline and soon had my whole dwelling flowing with electricity as smoothly as the sweetly idling engine of a motor vehicle. I am unsure of your sources of information Stacy, but down here in Australia we do have our house in order, indeed.
