It doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to implement. A lot of us could score and correct (at least pitch) quicker if we could read the notes.

Page 75 of Protools 8 M-audio powered's manual has a picture of what I'm thinking. Even Samplitude will display notation in midi track view.

Please consider this SB.

I personally would like to see a lot done to the score editor. At the moment, it has very limited use in what I personally do. I do also think your idea is good!

The problem with this idea is that the track height has to be so high for the notation to be readable on a track part that one might as well just open the score editor instead.

However, I guess it would at lease show a better indication of note values if displayed as notation on a track.

But as long as they can add it without breaking anything else I'd be for it :)

Yes, I was thinking of something simple like this shot from Samplitude:

Nothing extravagant. More a reference of the particular track you're working on. It's just that the current score editor seems like a whole separate process and disrupts the workflow. At least for me.

Now that I see it that way... I think it could be very useful... especially combined with the Key Editor....

It's nice to see people who like notation chiming in!!!:)

It could be very useful, but there are a fair number of things that need to happen before it would we of any use to me, not least being able to use KC for changing Quantise Displays easily. Without these the score would always look a total mess.
