Cubase 5, Batch export midi & Mono.

Hi Im a nuendo 3 user, but im looking into Cubase 5, had a mess around with at a friends the other day, Im intersted to know why the option to batch export mono tracks is unavailable and is there legit workaround?

Also why are midi tracks not available for batch export, I understand Instrument tracks are. But sometimes i prefere midi tracks because you can have say one kontakt running 8 different instruments on 8 channels, then u solo each to bounce, this should be available to bounce.

And does anyone have any idea, when there will be an update that may fix these problems, or Cubase 6 lol. Thank you.

Thank you but I do have MEAP, and thats what im trying to get away from, it was a great product, but it is too unreliable, you have to babysit it. But i guess i will have to remain using this for midi tracks.

true for me too. It often craps out after 20 tracks because it ''can't see" a solo button or something, even though it is actually fully visible. Or other oddities.

Worked great for me when i got it. Tends to barely work now i even updated, it gets stuck on the first track, everything is set up correctly, i appreciate what he did, i really do. But steinberg need to get this running correctly.

You can batch export mono in Cubase 5. If you wanted (as in your example) to export 8 midi channels going to 8 Kontakt instruments, just route the Kontakt instruments to different outs within Konatakt and export the individual outs.

If you want to batch-export the tracks as mono, you'll need to assign a mono output bus to the channels. Just hightlight all the tracks you want to export, alt-shift-click the output assign drop-down, select (Stereo Out -> Left) or any other mono bus, then export audio. The batch export will be all mono files.
