M-Audio ProFire Lightbridge

This looks like a really useful box, but I'm unclear as to whether it works with anything other than Protools M-Powered. Has anyone gotten it to work with Cubendo or even regular Protools LE?

Hey Steve,

It has regular ASIO/Core Audio drivers, so it will work with any compliant DAW, it will not work with PTLE tho, LE is specific to Digi hardware only.

Thanks Vin, so if you had a Digi interface plugged in there to use PTLE such as a 002 or 003 do you think that PT would then see the M-Audio? I suppose probably not, LE is so hobbled when it comes to recognising hardware.

Pro Tools will only "see" one device. If LE is launched, it will need to see an LE box; 002, 003, Mbox family. If an M-Audio I/O is present, and one has the ilok license, then PT MP will laumch. If multiple M-Audio I/O are present, only one will work with PT MP at a time.

PT MP does have some limitations in comparison to LE.
