Kontakt VST - Off Screen & Unable to Move

When I open Kontakt vst inside Cubase, it sits 'off-screen' so that I'm not able to mouse over the top and move it. I'm sure there is an easy fix, but I haven't figured it out. Any advice??

I'm running Cubase 64 v5.1.0 in Vista 64, with Kontakt v3.5.0.025.

When this happens I usually toggle my screen resolution to something different and that usually allows me to grab an errant window.

Another possibility is to download Winsplit Revolution and use it's hotkeys to reposition the window (you'll need to select Kontakt from the Windows menu inside Cubase first). When it moves, there will be some unwanted grey filling the rest of that part of the screen - to get rid of this just close and re-open the Kontakt window.

Just un-toggle Always On Top, move it to the center and reset AOT.

Nate, when I un-toggle 'always on top' from the VST Instrument window, the Kontakt vst window seems to disappear. I can't see it behind any window, so am unable to move it around. What am I missing?

Stacy, when I change the screen resolution, Kontakt just gets bigger, so I'm still unable to grab hold of the top bar to move it.

I'll download that winsplit revolution program as a last resort - seems like I should be able to handle this within cubase.

When it's not On Top, it's in the main window... use scroll bars to locate it.

Yea, that is what I thought it should do also, but it isn't in the main window - it just seems to disappear. Thoughts? Am I crazy??

Post a screenshot with AOT disabled.

First attachment, AOT enabled. Top of VST window is above screen, and I'm unable to move it down.

Second attachment, AOT dissabled. VST window is not on screen. (It isn't behind project window either).

Did you try and toggle screen resolution?

stacy, yes - changing the screen resolution makes the kontakt vst window larger and further off the monitor. so, unfortunately it didn't help.

Try un-maximizing the main Cubase window, it could be behind that.

It's not behind the project window or the main cubase program window. Looks like I may be calling Steinberg support on this one. :eusa_wall:

Why is half the background/ desktop black? It could be a video card setting if you're using dual monitors. The solutions named usually sort this issue.

I had the same problem right now.It looks strange.In created instrument track with Kontakt it isn't visible.But if i create the second one it's in place.Did'nt find another solution
