Heres one that flew under the radar..
Well 2 actually, one being that SADiE was acquired by Prism a while back, and also that they have released a Native version that works with any ASIO compatible card

THAT is interesting. Wonder how efficient it is for mixing, I'll have to check it out.

Quite a lot of PR done about it here, especially in the UK press.

Hey Leon,
Has it made any impact apart from the broadcasters that were already on board, one being the BBC, so its isn't exactly small fry.

And the software hasn't been released yet.
How is Sadie now? The last time I used it (when working in Nashville), it seemed a bit backwards, limited and overpriced for what it offered, even though it's been highly respected for editing.
Kind of like Sequoia - great editing if that's all you need, but so-so as a DAW, and overpriced for that market. And its' editing isn't $2k better than Nuendo in my experience (though a few things do bring me back to Sequoia from time to time).

Hey Dedric,
I can't find any detail of the pricing of the Native version, where did you confirm the $2K more than Nuendo ?
FWIW: SADiE IMO is just another one of these proprietary DSP/Turnkey systems that has a very small select market in Broadcast/Mastering/Restoration , and will never be a major player as a DAW, but this Native version could open it up to a wider audience.
It will be interesting to see what if anything eventuates.
With Prisim onboard , it has a pretty respectable base for AD/DA to draw from for its Native DAW bundles with some hardware , pity the Prism Firewire interface implementation sux.. :eusa_whistle:
Oh, the $2k was referring to Sequoia vs. Nuendo (may be more like $1500 difference in street prices now). Don't know if that comparison holds with Sadie though.
