LOL,

I haven't seen that style of marketing since Snapple first got into Logic, mind you their claims were a little more wishful thinking than having any substance, this one clearly shows that the StudioOne devs were listening to what end users were wanting from the major players, but were not delivering..

Whats even funnier in the comparisons to Cubendo is that the devs were ex Steinberg code monkeys, who no doubt could have delivered these features in Cubendo..., if someone was listening, this is just rubbing it in their faces now... LOL

I just wish I could get past the P word... :-(

Oh, that's cold. ;-)

Btw, they got the "copy effects settings" to other channels wrong. Copy and past (ctr-c,ctrl-v) copies channel settings between channels, including all effects. Alt-drag copies an effect, with its' settings to a new channel.

Other than that, StudioOne does have some nice drag/drop capabilities (many of which are in Reaper btw....).

Ditto - imagine if the Kristal guys had teamed up with SSL or Euphonix instead of Presonus.

haha...those guys were steinberg devs and have never heard of modifiers for routing all selected channels to one place or sequentially, channel settings presets etc etc....

I am not saying they dont have some good ideas in there - but seriously - for guys that worked on Steinberg apps they sure are shitty at using them!!!! Seriously man - that guy using Nuendo looks like someone gave them Valium and said just mooch around with the mouse a bit while we film you.....its just a good old, bad acting, infomercial style I guess :)

Hey Sam,

What , you were expecting truth in advertising... :icon_eek3:

No doubt the Logic guys will be rolling their eyes at certain elements as well.

I do have to say tho, I have been playing with StudioOne Demo a bit lately, and the more I play, the more I like. It really is very easy to get around , and I could easily replace close to 20 years of Cubendo History with it...., just..., neeed...to ...get ...past... the ...P .. word.... Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!

Now that would have been really cool , but of course Euphonix currently have their noses planted in the rear end of a fruit... :eusa_whistle:

someone should do a 24 hour spoof video of doing a bit of (eg) groove quantisation or a freeze in Cubendo and just leave it rolling on studio One for 23 hours, 59 minutes and 45 seconds.

A live feed would be better from an unattended studio One console until they implement all these features.

It's the window management in s1 that is good, I'm tuning into the power of Reaper these days and s1 isn't as attractive as Tracktion or as feature rich as Reapendo so I'm out. :)

I see Studio One doesn't support video playback yet. Early days for this one I suppose.

Wow, thats something that went right over my head, I had to do a double take when I read your post.

Does give us a better idea who the target market is , and its definitely not those scoring for video/film.

At least the pricing in the US at least does reflect that its not quite up against Cubase just yet. It will be interesting to see what the development has to say if the question of video is posed at the support forums.

BTW: Found this poking around at the Presonus site , a quick BIO of the development team of StudioOne, check it out Here (http://www.presonussoftware.com/en_US/index.php?id=company-team)

Yeah, kind of pointless then to alot of people. Kind of like the Mac version of Reaper without video.

Is it really that hard to incorporate video? Or maybe they don't want to enter the same pitfalls as SB did with their poorly implemented video engine.

Seems like I read on a GS thread it was on the list - just couldn't make it into v1.

I think Reaper/OSX added video in 3.14 (seems like I read that on their forum, but haven't checked release notes). But 3.14 completely broke video import/playback on both platforms (can't import video files - back to 3.13 on the PC side for most).

Reaper has turned into a big joke to me. Still blows on the Mac

Studio One is a bit lacking still for me. If I let go of Cubase 5.. or use something else besides it.. I am actually beginning to lean toward Reaper, albeit on W7x64. It would mean using 3 separate apps versus one, but after a discussion with someone who "remade" Reaper into an "uber Pro Tools" app.. it piqued my interest into what can be done when an app allows that sort of thing.
