I need to rip some audio off a DVD (Ac3 6 channel) and converter it to wave files for a stage demo.

I have A.Pack V1.5 but some of the AC3 files come up as invalid.

Any MAC software that might be able to do this?

Don't know because I haven't tried it myself, but Mpeg Streamclip is supposed to do this.. or maybe that was only extracting the AC3 file from a film.
Not Mac, but I have used several of them with good results.. http://www.videohelp.com/tools?convert=AC3%20to%20WAV

MPEG Streamclip doesn't convert the AC3 files to wav or AIFF.

It just rips the AC3 off the DVD AFAIK.

Mac the Ripper does the same thing.

What is wierd is sometimes the AC3 decode in APack works. Some AC3 files don't.

I'll try the rip for Mpeg again.

Yeah, MPEG Streamclip is having alot of trouble opening DVD's.

Just ripped an ac3 stream with DVDDecrypter in IFO mode ( on PC though..) to VOB and mpeg streamclip converts it to AIFF. Maybe that is a better way to go, seemed to work ok here.. But will it convert 6ch?

Im just extracting chapters, not the entire DVD.

Mac the Ripper allows me to demux the video into mv2 and the AC3 for that chapter.

MPEG Streamclip doesn't convert the AC3 files to wav or AIFF.

It does, here. With selectable mixdown of multichannel sources. Select the audio mode in the main window, then "file > export audio".
