Maybe it would be useful to have a sub-forum for "off-topic" DAW discussion like other brands and so forth.
Could be good for discussing things like rewire and syncronisation, as well SMPTE specific and MIDI Time Code, whether the master is the focus of this forum or not.
Just an Idea, hope it gets done.

Chill dude, the word "junior" will be removed from your member status soon enough. :)

:) how did you know?
Never one to want to spam, just a simple observation over the time I've been here I've realised something is most certainly missing.
Thank you

Yes it will be great when I achieve that kind of status, as I was never able to in the official forum and instead was downtrodden to the point of not being able to get up, and that's why I'm calling for it's closeure.
Anyway, about my requests for another forum for non-steinberg applications as well as syncing (non-post) and rewire, it would be howsoever cool to title it something along the lines of the VST System link, as it is a syncronising system of sorts and it would be good to try and give it some exposure.
I've never used system link but I think it would be excellent to alleviate CPU strain across systems and allow many more outputs and processing of sound.
The thought of having an area dedicated to SMPTE sync and MTC, as well as rewire and system link seems logical to me but to separate it from traditional methods such as post production while at the same time providing a forum for other DAW's that may or may not be synced to the platform in some way.
Just some more thoughts I hope can be implemented.

Here's an idea...
Messianic, why don't you start your own forum and set it up just the way you like?
Then, once you've got it going, people like yourself can join up and fill your place full of their suggestions to change it like they'd rather see it.
Catching the irony?
How about letting this place become what it's intended to be for at least a month... or two.
How about starting a thread telling us about your mic technique for tracking acoustic guitar with nylon versus steel strings?
That would be interesting.

I don't really engineer all that often except for virtual instruments. I program drum patterns and so forth. I really dig steinberg software for all it's shortcomings which naturally I'd like the opportunity to elaborate on in coming months but until then ad-hoc seems to be the only approach I can take.
Good luck

Your first response was telling... especially after reading the second total rewrite in 5 minutes.
Now, I'm questioning your goal entirely.
Maybe you just need a chatroom...
In any case, Happy New Year.
Bring some substance, we already have plenty of critics on the staff. ;)

Thank you.
It was one of my suggestions actually I think that would be a good idea in future to get more refined discussion on the actual applications we are talking about (not the forum).
P.S I modified my posts just to let you know

There's a whole crowd forming to see you take that next step... ;)

Can we calm down a bit in here? Seems like the tone is a bit harsh for no apparent reason.
I've already inquired about this non-Cubendo section and it's under consideration.

A new section has now been created, called Other DAW's And Software (http://www.cubendo.com/forumdisplay.php?f=32).
It currently has only two sub-forums; "DAW's" (http://www.cubendo.com/forumdisplay.php?f=33), where other DAW's can be discussed, and "Other Software" (http://www.cubendo.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34), where we can discuss CD-burning apps, mastering apps etc.....
It could be further split into separate sub-forums according to the DAW in question, but we can wait until there is sufficient participation there.
Hope this will be satisfactory.
