No strings attached until September 30 : Here (http://line6.com/news/offers/864)
I just downloaded my licence to my iLok , sweet.. :D
Haven't had a chance to install it yet - how does it sound?
Installed license to iLok. Installed full software package. The details page showed many skipped files. The icon it placed on the desktop did not work because the standalone was apparently not installed.
It comes up as a VSTi. Looks like there are many presets to try out and amp models, etc.
Will report back later as to how it sounds.
UPDATE: Also tried installing on a system running XP32. No standalone.
I had to search a bit for this info on their website:
Note: the only devices that allow for Standalone operation of POD Farm software are GuitarPorts, TonePorts (GX, UX1, UX2, KB37, UX8) and POD Studios (GX, UX1, UX2, KB37) USB hardware devices.
So...no standalone.

I'm on headphones only these days, but I feel like it sounds 'podish' (surprise, surprise...). I wonder how the delay fx of the pro version sound like, I love the hardware delay box and would like to have these as a plugin. Anyone knows about that?

Grrr, I don't have an iLok. :realsad:
I thought you could load an iLok license on a Dongle with later versions of Syncrosoft. :eusa_think:

Don't think iLok and Syncro are the same technology

yea, how does it sound? Since I have Guitar Rig, I probably wouldn't bother unless there was something particularly great/unique about it. Plus I'd only use it on sampled guitars since I don't play anything but piano/keyboard plus pots & pans.

I am not using it very much, but from what I remember from the old PT days it does certainly remind me of Ampfarm. I probably wouldn't use it as main git amp, but it certainly is quite handy to 'reamp' keyboards and it has some useful fx as well (tape echo, spring reverb...) I'd probably even buy an ILok for it, if I wouldn't own one already

Thanks for sharing Vin!
I already own a few guitar-amp-fx-thingies (like Guitar Rig), but some different sound characters/qualities are always welcome

This only says that Line6 is on Steinberg's VST PlugIn Zone.
When a company is on that list doesn't mean they are using Syncrosoft.
There are other iLok companies on that list... like Waves

Sounds fairly good, I only had time to browse some of the presets, there are one or two good ones. I seem to get better sustain than some of the freebies out there. It seems fairly CPU efficient, ran a few instances and it was no issue.
I grabbed an iLok for 50$ CDN so I could grab it, I feel it was well spent.
Okay, this may be dumb.
But where is the software download? I got the iLok. Where is the software?

the product is ilok, the software is podfarm and select your operating system.
Hope this helps.

Well, I have downloaded it, however I did not have to get an iLok(I hate iloks) because I have the Pod X3 and this also works as a dongle.
Apart from that, I can load all the amps, stompboxes and fx that are included in the Pod X3.
In Line6 they claim that this sounds EXACTLY like the POD X3 or whatever. I tried it and I can say that this is true from what I hear. Very nice stuff, I always prefered the POD to the various plugins like Guitar Rig or Amplitube.
Also, it has some nice interface design.
