mwahahaHAHAHAHAHA! :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:
I got the €399 summer sale deal which is abut $500 right.:icon_cool:
If you were unlucky and bought them one by one you could have payed $3000 !!! :icon_eek3:

the versions in the box are very stable, at least here ...

the price of the upgrade will be almost painless, buuuuuuuuuuuuut it wont happen aright now anyway.
Feels like "if it ain't broken, don't pay to brake it!" :icon_eek3::icon_lol:

Also, I've foundsome freakin' awesome stuff already installed in:
E:\Audio\Steinberg\Cubase 5
Just because some forum is run by retarded fuck-ups doesn't mean that Cubendo isn't a masterpiece if you have it properly installed. I'm revisiting some of the obscure parts of the manual and haha :bouncy:

later $169 won't hurt ...

So what's really new? GuitarRig sounds like crap compared to Amplitube 2, Absynth 5 ... sounds amazing when you demo it but isn't it those mega plugins that make musicians lazy when they can just press a key and have half the sounds of a movie score rattling around in the speakers?

Kontakt 4 ... now that sounds like a good idea? what's new from 3.5 ... really? And what's marketing?

I think I got Komplete 5 for $150 or so, which for me added Massive, Absynth 4, Reaktor 5, Guitar Rig, etc, so $169 for K6 won't be too bad. But, it isn't a huge update.

Absynth 5 looks like it has some good new features - new granular synthesis and mod options, some GUI changes for quicker control. K4 has some new mod/control options that could be good. From K3.5 though, nothing really new. I think most of this update is about going 64-bit, but since NI's site is down so I couldn't check to be sure on that.

Hmm... just noticed no Akoustik Piano, Electrik Piano, Pro53 or B4II in Komplete 6. Add 0, remove 4. Of those 4 only Pro53 is still listed in the product finder on NI's site.

Sounds like these are done and gone.

The morphing technology looks interesting. Mind you, the Garritan Strad morphing technology looked interesting, and sounded cr*p, so I won't try to second guess until I've heard it in action. :D

shit, all this time and I didn't know I could say 'crap' here...........

I'm glad I took advantage of the Komplete 5 sale. Best synth deal of all time! For those that didn't, they miss out on four software items. $169 to upgrade seems more than fair. Just hope the stuff will work well in 64bit land.

Okay, let's try to keep the language somewhat respectable here. We do have a rule against profanity, which obviously we enforce strictly, except when we don't (which is usually). lol

We don't want this forum showing up in Google searches for certain sites that might use similar keywords....ahem.

I already have to be careful and not read Gearslutz, and to some degree Cubendo when my kids are around. The smilicons are off base enough to get at least a PG-13 rating - my kids are younger, and can read.

Back to Komplete 6. Anyone here update to Kontakt 3.5 yet on XP with Nuendo/Cubase? I'm contemplating updating my main rig even though it isn't 64-bit, but with past compatibility problems with Omnisphere I'm hesitant to risk it until I have more downtime.

is it you or the kids that are offended?
and where did the kids cum from ...
did someone use their Native Instruments to make Kontakt, prehaps ...

Previous language here is hardly suitable for 4 and 8 year old children. I don't particularly like reading it either.

Back to Komplete 6....

I loaded up my woodwinds in my main DAW into Kontakt 3.5 but haven't messed with any new functions. I'm on XP x64, but using Cubase 3.1, so I can't say much about it yet. The slave computers still run Kontakt 2.4. There isn't much need to upgrade them that I can see. Even once I increase ram in them to 8GB, I'll run out of needed slots in Kontakt before I hit the memory wall. I have tons of banks used now, as an example, to allow loading all of the EWQL Strings Platinum xp samples. So if I increase the ram, it really doesn't help if you run out of slots. What is then needed is the ability to open two instances of Kontakt, and there is a programming tweak that will allow that, to do with the registry and more, amounting to dedicating asio outputs to each instance.
