This is what I think of as a "no-brainer".

Just don't go there, if you value your life.

Hey hey, it's not part & parcel of the infamous solo bug we're talking about is it?

This is simply logical to me. I don't really have too many issues with mute solo in general just my personal observation. There's more to say about it but I will wait for further comment.

There's a preference for this, isn't it? Don't remember its name right now, but something like "Mute routed channels as well..."

It's part of the Solo/Mute issue.

It's in Prefs/VST> Group Channels Mute Sources as well.

And it's not a 'no brainer'. There are situations where you may wish to mute a group and have the sends of the the source channels continue to address another destination... such as when parallel compressing a drum kit. Hence... the preference.

Very very cool. Thanks Ade.

A really good thing to know, next time I will need to RTFM but it's one those things I guess experience.

Thank you

It's part of the Solo/Mute issue.

Hi Guru,

Notwithstanding Ade's input, would you know if this issue means that although all lights are working together as a group with the group fader, that even when a series of tracks are muted in this way albeit by the group "module" that the outputs of individual tracks can only be accessed via routing?

In other words, I cannot simply press solo on a track which is being "grouped" and override its' group status.

Does anyone know of any alternatives?

Not sure if this addresses your question, but remember that there is a pref to allow prefade sends to operate even when a channel is muted.
