View Full Version : Media -> Import Audio from CD... not working

Wow, first post for me...

Here's what's going on:
1. Insert Audio CD into drive
2. In Cubase 4.5.2, go to Media -> Import Audio CD...
3. Dialog box opens, scans the disc, and shows the track listing on the CD
4A. Select one track (or multiple tracks), and press copy (to initiate copying to the hard drive), and the track listing disappears along with the drive info.
4B. Likewise, I can also select one track to audition it directly off the CD, and the same disappearing trick occurs.

This was happening in previous C4 versions. Anyone else having this issue?

I haven't been able to use cd import in C4 for a while. It doesn't read the tracks but my other programs do.

Last time I tried in Nuendo 4 it worked but that wasn't the latest version. I will check it out with 4.2.

Is this (http://forum.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=27924) the problem/solution?

I will be sure to try this when I get to the studio. The symptoms are not the same though as these users applications are not showing the drive at all. Mine is showing the drive, and reading all of the track information/listing. As soon as I try to interact with a given file(s) by playing or copying (importing) the list refreshes and everything disappears.

Thanks I tried that and didn't have the file in the Win32 folder but it still doesn't work.

BTW My cd drive shows up but it doesn't see the tracks.
