cool thanks Sam. so the 3.75 is the latest stable release? I will give it a go. I was reading about issues with Nuendo with the 3.78.

When I had the newest one installed - a couple of months back - and it kept resetting the buffer to 128 every time I restarted and there were a few other niggles....the one I sent you seems fine here.

The current driver is 3.079 .

What issues have you been hearing about with the latest driver ?

Hey Stacey,

Quick heads up.., 3.079 seems to have the buffer size resetting issue as well.

I got a call from a new client wondering why I had been so conservative in regards to the buffers setting I shipped the system with , i.e 256.

I actually stress the systems @ 032 and then wind them back to 064/128 before shipping, I never set the RME's to 256 , so that indicated that the driver is resetting to default ( 256 ).

I have a heap of earlier drivers, but don't have 3.075, I do have 3.074 that many are rolling back to.

Hows 3.075 working at for you ?

I ran a session with the new 3.080 driver last night without any issues to report.

I'll keep you posted if that changes.

Cheers

Oh, and I've got all the older drivers if you need them. Just pm me your email and I'll shoot them over to you.

Hey Peter,

Definitely keep us up to date

Just checked the readme for the changelog , and no mention of the behaviour of the latency setting being reset , or the reported issues when changing VST connections..

I think I'll still roll back to 3.074, thats a known quantity for me.

I wouldn't mind 3.075 if you have it, I have 3.077 already.

Thanks Mate

Hi,

What's the driver version you think or experinced that has better lower latency/lower performance hit/best audio stability (I mean, no drops, click at higher CPU loads)?

Thanks!

Hey Terry,

Please send me the 3.075 .

BTW: 3.80 is displaying the same problem with reverting back to 256 buffer setting on reboot. I'll stay there for Win7, but I would like to revert back to 3.075 on XPSP3 , which is the best from all reports.

Thanks Mate.. :-)

Hey Peter,

Better yet, what are you doing right .. LOL

You clocking them internally or externally ?

Maybe its only on specific cards, I am noticing it on my HDSP 9632 reference card, and Sam noticed it on his AES32.

I have posted at the RME forum, lest see if MC can shed some light.

Ah, Clocking externally. That could be it.
