Guys,
does any of you know what's the firewire chipset for this laptop?
Sorry to bother, but google was no help...
Thank you,

Ricoh! :icon_eek3::098::icon_twisted:
at least mine is... Let's see if I get it to work with M-Audio FW1814. If it's a no go, then I'll use the Fast Track Ultra. But I really wanted to keep this one at home (because of the extra outputs).

Can't really recommend this laptop, since I'm not through with the "testing marathon" and only had it for a week, but its Ricoh fw chipset seems to be handling the FW1814 stream. Quite unexpected...
I've only tested 12 stereo track playback on Cubase SX3 while recording VSTi lead. No pops, clicks nor glitches even @ 64 samples... On Live I ran some sets while playing back VSTis, and same result (perfect!)
Ah! I've done the registry SidSpeed = 3 tweak, although I really don't know if it's needed when clean installing XPsp3.
If some of you can give me some tips on putting the Ricoh to the test, please advise.
Thanks,
HoneyDont
BTW: lappy specs - Toshiba Tecra A10 S-3511 - Montevina (PM45) - Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz - 4GB DDR2 800MHz Kingston - OS:XPsp3 (tweaked)
