Wasn't expecting all that much, but I am very pleasantly surprised here. Probably the best sounding MIDI drums I have heard. :eusa_think:

wow...the cymbals actually sound like cymbals!!! And the overheads/close balance seems pretty real - the snare sure sounds 'all american' rock - how variable/processed is it....how is the hit to run it at low latency? I am looking into getting a low end v-drums setup with a drumsample setup for doing all my pre-production with bands at my place before we head off to the big $$ room and smack it down hot there....this actually made me sit up and listen twice ;)

" how variable/processed is it"
Not much. A little eq on the snare and bdrum, some verb on the snare, bdrum, and hats (different verb), and slight panning of the hat and ride - that's about it. The midi files import with imperfect/human quantizing, and varied velocity, so there is nothing to do there.
"how is the hit to run it at low latency?"
Not sure of the Q, but I run at 512 samles - no probs. Very little resources were used.
Cheers.

@Sam,

Uhh, you forget a word, there? :icon_yes: :smash:
Yes, it is non standard GM drum mapping.
Cheers.
hey vin I have EZ - but I quite hate the sound of it.....for my taste it is way too processed and the cymbals sound thin and 'sampled' to me.....but you know how our tastes differ mate!!! It does the job I need it to for prepro.....but for cheaper end jobs with no time it would be nice if I had an option I could leave in for the mix...
I haven't heard Superior yet though.....I was just really impressed with the cymbals in Riffs example - they sound like when I record real ones!! (on my laptop anyways - where I check the iTuneability of my mixes!)

Cool,
Thanks Nate, looks like they have at least made an effort to make it easier to fit in with the standard GM mapping..
Still don't get why they didn't just stick to the standard from the get go.

I used Addictive for awhile. Now I use Superior 2. They got a new expansion coming out called Metal Foundry.

The mapping issue is going to be fixed in the next version
